The Long Island Personal Injury Attorneys at Schalk, Ciaccio & Kahn want to utilize our years of experience and pass along helpful hints to our clients through our blog. So…….
If you are involved in a car accident, use this tip to save you time, money and aggravation. Nowadays most of us travel with our cell phones. These phones do more than communicate- you can take pictures, record video and record audio. Using your phone after an accident can help you preserve valuable evidence that might be necessary to protect your rights in the future. After many accidents, it is common for the parties/ witnesses to speak to each other. Usually, these conversations take place when you are nervous, resulting in you not being able to remember the specifics of any conversation. To prevent this, get familiar with your phone’s audio recording “app” after an accident just hit record and the conversations will be preserved. You can also dictate to yourself the events, witness information, license plates, etc., and write down the information after you are safely home. While you are at it, take photos as well.
